Story & Analysis:
After Gajini, Surya-Murugudas-Harris Jayraj combo’s much awaited movie has took a very interesting story-line. It starts with the historical backdrop of Boudhadharma, a south Asian & Indian who went to China and preached how to cure a deadly disease & taught Martial arts to people over there. The story-line switches over to scientific research over DNA in present and the concept of Hypnotism added in both past & current scenes.
Plus points:
- First 20 minutes of movie
- Surya & Sruthi Hasan’s screen presence
- Excellent Cinematography
Minus points:
- Unnecessary/Senseless graphics in many scenes
- Lack of comedy/entertaining scenes
- Except a couple of songs, all songs & most of the background music is unimpressive/irritating/mistimed
- Many unrealistic scenes
- Hypnotism not shown in realistic way
Final point/Verdict:
‘7th Sense’ ends up to be SENSELESS movie, in spite of interesting historic story-line & some great Cinematography. Poor direction, unrealistic narration, weak entertainment, ineffective graphics/music become the spoilsport. ‘7th Sense’ again proves that bad narration of story kills the story itself, nullifying all positives in story & great work done by technical team.
